I don’t know why the hell I made them different to begin with (probably thought it helped with the look? I dunno). But I’m tired to trying to remember that they’re differnt.

Seriously. Relearning the way to draw the agents in costume has been a bigger pain in the ass than I thought it would be. But I’m nearly there. So hey, cheers.

Also, I’m debating a Tuesday/Friday schedule. Mostly because I still don’t have an effing buffer and one day between them kind of sucks. I don’t know. Depends on this week I guess.

Finally, Hunter is going well. Nearly done with the first chapter of the comic (it’s become four or so chapters of the book). I’m also exploring the minor characters a bit more…I’ll keep everyone updated.

I’d appologize for it being so late, but honestly I never really set a date for the picture to be done…But as long as it’s before the end of August I’m in good shape. Which today is the last day of! So I’m clear! I was actually done last week sometime, but I decided that I needed the filler today, so I held off on posting it.

Which brings me to my next bit of ‘bad’ news. Wednesday’s comic might be a little late, Or there could even be some kind of filler.

Short version of the troubles: I’ve basically got until Friday to finish all the stuff I have to do to become a Substitute teacher and if I don’t do it I’ll have to start the WHOLE process over again. That’s not happening, so I might need to put the comic on the back burner this week.

But, to be quite honest, last week was rather nuts with me trying to get this all done AND handle what I thought was going to be a devastating semester at school (It’s not going to be, I’ve got a handle on it now and it might be my lightest yet). But I NEED to get these papers into the CCSD’s office BY FRIDAY. So It’s a mad rush to the finish line.

I need to be ahead. As far ahead as I can.

So no Hunter this week and a short comic today. I need to try and get a few comics under the proverbial belt before I venture back to college. I intend to keep this up for as long as I can, but eventually I have the dark feeling that the comic might be coming to a cross-roads.

I might have to kill Hunter and go back to a proper two day a week schedual.

You thought I was going to say that I was going to give up on The PKF, didn’t you. It’s ok. I know that there are so many smaller coimcs that come and go with the drop of a hat. But I fully intend to finish AT LEAST Book Three before I take anything resembling a ‘break’…But I might have to put the comic-y things on the back burner. But not totally, I’ll always have an update.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

The PKF will continue until it’s over. In some form. In some way. It WILL continue.

Hunter? Well…Maybe I’ll put him on hold and start up again after this Book is over.

I’ll think about it.

On the plus side, this semester is looking to be a little slow…LOOKING, keyword here. But I’ll let you know when I get into the classes…

I wish I could say that there was going to be another Hunter comic on Friday…But sadly this is the only one that I got done. And honestly, I should have had it done last Friday. Hunter will update on Friday with this comic but ‘uncut’…Basically @#$% will be uncensored.

I need nudity in this thing or something, otherwise what the hell is the point of calling it NSFW? Swearing ain’t that bad.

Ah well.

It works.

Remember, I’m out of town for the rest of this week. If I get some good ComiCon pics I’ll post them from my hotel, but otherwise I should be kind of dead to the world.

I’ve decided what the Filler on Monday will be, however. I’ll be doing a completely pencil drawing and I’ll be scanning it in Sunday night (or Monday early morning). I don’t know what it’ll be, but It’ll be totally pencil.

Don’t know what I’m doing this, but it seems like good practice.

See, next week I’m out of town for most of the week for ComiCon. I’m going with a friend of mine, no, I’m not selling stuff, I’m just attending. HOWEVER, I’ve decided that this will be the perfect time to try and network a little with my fellow webcomic artists.

And by network I mean draw them fanart, babble over how much I love them their comics and purchase their stuff. All with charm, grace and one of my newest business cards handed to them.

Yes. I have bussiness cards now. Which is, incidently, why Hunter didn’t go up on Friday…I spent Thursday and Friday working on them.

But since I’ve managed to come down to the wire a bit, I’m putting the comic on hold for the rest of this week and next week (I had originally only planned to do next week, but things aren’t working out that way.

Hunter, however, will update on this Friday because I’m damned near done with the next page anyhow. So no need to hold off on that one.

I don’t know what kind of filler I’ll be putting up, but I’ll have SOMETHING for you all, I promise that much.

Firstly, the new uniforms! Nice, eh? I’m still offering the donation incentive, if you’re interested. But the pot is now sweetened, I’m including ANOTHER wallpaper of the agents in their FINAL designs. Some of them changed significantly (Mark and Pat especially), so if you’re interested go over there and chunk in some change. It’ll make me happy and you’ll get some nice pics…Please?

(And if you’ve already donated, check your Email, I’ve sent off the new wallpaper in your previously specified resolution.)

I’m very happy with them, all things considered…I still feel like I should tweak Pat’s…But it’s so much better than it was. God…she had a @#$%ing half cocked BELT at one point. What the hell was that?! Blargh…

I hope you like them…I spent a fair amount of time agonizing over them. The proverbial slaving over a hot sketch book, much of this occurred that and swearing…Much swearing.

Secondly, if you haven’t been reading Hunter (which is cool, I’m not forcing you ::Hides knife::) I actually started to do this aspect ratio in that comic a few weeks ago, though Hunter is a little smaller. The PKF’s new size clocks in at 750px × 1125px, which translates into 600×900 (Hunter’s size). Which is actually the STANDARD comic book page format. It used to be 846×1110…See? Slight change.

I honestly think that making Hunter pages taller and thinner has made the comic better. I spend more time on each panel, because they are actually larger (and there’s fewer of them), which results in (I think) a better work space. Or at least one that I can fill without draining myself or defaulting to basic backgrounds.

This is really more of an experiment than anything else. If, by the end of this chapter, I don’t like (or you all HATE) the layout I’ll return to my previous way of doing things. But I honestly really think that this will be a fantastic change, it was for Hunter.

But let me know.

If the art looks a little…Well…Off it’s because I didn’t measure my work space before I drew…I just kind of made it a little smaller and drew. So I had to futz with the dimensions of my script sketch to get it to look right…Which still made it look @#$%ed up. Sorry, but it’s better then it was when I started…haha.

Anyway, tell me what you think. I thrive off comments (and baked lays…but that’s another story) and love to hear from you.

Hehe, Mark has a pink laptop. He also has a pink wallet. Yes, he owns more crap in pink than Hana does.

His stickers (left to right, up to down) are: Bat Symbol, ‘Captian Awesome’, ‘Your facebook profile is my bitch’ and ‘What would alien do?’. Can you tell I like Mark? Because I do.

Oh, and don’t try decifering the binary in The Creator’s eyes…it’s likely only one letter in the whole little thing I typed out…I guess feel free, but don’t worry about it.

ALSO, have you checked out Hunter lately? Not just because I’ve been enjoying it, but because I’ve been using a differnt method of comicery one it…IE: Multiple Pages, fewer panels to a page. I’ve really liked it the last few weeks…I’m half tempted to start using the same method for The PKF…but I hate doing it mid chapter. There’s a spot in a little while that would let me do some major changes and it would feel right. But I’d like some input.

So go and check out Hunter and tell me if you’d like to see a similar setup on The PKF.

It’s actually a wallpaper. The new page will eventually be linked from the extras page, I’ll also be doing some other minor things…like avatars and whatnot…but that’s a few weeks off (or whenever I get to it).

Anyhow, yes, it’s Susi and not one of the PKF gals…but I decided that I wanted a new wallpaper for my computer and I also wanted to practice clothes that hung loosely. So Hana and Adjana were out immediately (Hana wears jammies and Adjana wears a long nightgown) so I opted to use Susi.

I enjoyed drawing this one…It’s not often that I get a chance to draw someone in floppy, semi-revealing, clothes and not feel odd about it…she is a few hundred years old after all.

Anyhow, like I said, there’s some wallpaper in several flavors if you care to pick it up. I’ll also be putting up the picture in my DA gallery later today. Ok, it’s in my DA gallery now.

Oh…and Hunter updated today. You may want to check it out…I’m trying something new that may carry over to the PKF if I start to warm up to it. So go check it out.

Don’t worry. True to my word you don’t need to know anything about Jorrin, Ali, or even Omen to get this little part. Just that Hana had previous dealings with them.

And before you ask, yes, Jorrin’s office sits in the middle of an open field with no discernible access points. Why? Because that’s just the way that Jorrin rolls.

Also, something I actually mentioned in Hunter is that Ali is the first member of the Devil race that’s made an appearance in The PKF…I’ve never actually said it anywhere (but in the blog section of Hunter) so as you can likely guess…it’s not that important.

But it’s a little FYI if you’re curious about the red-eye receptionist.

I’m also very, VERY, happy with Ali and her design. Hana’s appearance at Jorrin’s is also to give all the people who haven’t bothered to read Lost Time a chance to get to know Jorrin and his associates. Like I’ve always said, Lost Time isn’t a prerequisite for enjoying the comic. I’ve made sure of that. But if you ARE interested in reading about Hana’s training, Jorrin’s office, or any of the other little things mentioned in the coming Hana comics then check out Lost Time.

ALSO, I’m likely to have something special for this Friday…actually…I KNOW I’ll have something special for you all Friday, it’s just a mater of packaging it a little better.

You also get a one panel glimpse at Pat’s little sister Candice (Candi). They love eachother…deep down.

I also opted to make Pat a few inches taller than Tom just to get his goat. Tom IS supposed to be the shortest member of the PKF, afterall. I’m not totally happy with Pat’s appearence, so she’s likely to change a bit in the next appearence. She’ll likely lose the hat and push her hair past her ears…I liked the framed look of her face, but the lack of ears on a chracter with such short hair is a little off for me.

But if you’d like it to stay as is, feel free to interject.

Pat’s an interesting character for a lot of reasons that will become apparent though the rest of this arc…but on Monday you’ll meet one of my favorite characters…he’s…well…he’s an odd duck.

You’ll like him. I’m sure of that.
